The State of Summer Reading
How is your summer reading going?
I’ve been busy gathering materials for school libraries that want to have a summer reading program and for public libraries who are running out of supplies. If you are running low, let me know and I’ll send you more.
When you get a chance you may want to look at Oklahoma Child Care: The Quarterly Journal for Caregivers Everywhere, vol. 2, 2007, page 34, ISSN: 1049-9466. There is information, activities and a short bibliography on bugs (2008 SRP theme). Contact:

ODL is a depository of state publications so there are copies here for interlibrary loan.
This is an Oklahoma edition of the Texas Child Care which is published by the Texas Workforce Commission. (I’m not sure why, but the copy I have in front of me is cited as 2007, the online copy is Summer 2006.) You can request copies of articles by contacting them.
Thanks to Kelly at Tulsa City-County Library System for the heads up!
I leave for ALA in Washington, D.C. next week. This is my first time to ALA and my first trip to D.C. I’ll return the last week in June, and then it’s Library Day at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History on June 30th.
