The National Endowment for the Arts published a report on teen reading and reading skills. YALSA has written a rebuttal defining what reading is when it comes to teens. And ALA has their official response as well.

Thorndike is printing young adult books in large print. I have been in conversations with them since March about promoting their collection.

In the juvenile collection there are green folders with all of Thorndike’s information. They are there for you to take. Also, there are copies of Holes by Louis Sachar in large print. Please take only what you need so that others may have a chance. Finally, the collection has large print copies of Harry Potter books, a Spiderwick book and other titles. Take a moment to browse through.
