I've read the two Blue Bloods and the third is coming out this fall, so exited! And, I've read Wicked, and I really liked that one as well.

I'll add the others to my list, those titles look good!

I have been so busy that now I have a list of 20 books I want to read. Here's a few:

Dangerous Days of Daniel X
Blue Bloods
Vampire Academy
Marley and Me
Wicked
Peach Fuzz

I know those are weird. But most have sequels. So I'm taking a VACATION! I'm so excited I'm just going to lounge around, maybe swim and READ!

Hi Adrienne,

Here's what the Metro librarians told me:
Everyone thought it was neat!
My customers love free stuff and so do I.
Our Free Comic Book Day went very well. It didn't take long to give out all the comics.
We should definitely have this event next year.
Apparently one customer asked if we were going to be doing it next month... so I took that as they liked it!
It went really well.
We had a good response to the Comic Book Day. All seemed happy to receive them.
General feed back was, "this is neat" and stuff like that. I believe we should participate in the program next year.
The books without words [Owly] were good to have for our little customers.
The feedback from the customers were that a few of the young readers who are comic book collectors were glad to be receiving them for free. I think it would be good for us to participate in the event again next year.

we announced it to the Teen Group.
and gave out stickers and hung up the poster.

We just set the comics on the front counter and offer them to the teens.

They thought it was a great idea and was really excited that a library giving these out.

I had never heard of this before but we enjoyed it hope to have a bigger one next year with a program along with it.

So would I! I think it would benefit so many people. And, not just OKC, but the rural areas as well.

Check out this website for great Oklahoma themed prizes: www.realtime-products.com I spoke with Donna Smith and she was very helpful. Phone #'s are 877-580-7231 or 405-359-6935. She said it would be no problem to sell to the libraries for the SRP!!

Love the poster! Sorry I missed OLA and the chance to get a signed poster. I wanted to let other librarians know about www.realtime-products.com! I was looking for low priced Oklahoma items and found this site. They are in Edmond or Norman--the number is 877-580-7231 or 405-359-6935. Donna Smith is the rep I spoke to and she was very helpful! Check it out!
